Sean Gallagher saw the handwriting on the wall.
“As soon as Ryan Webb came up from (Triple-A) Portland and lit it up and Tim Stauffer was feeling good in rehab, I knew this day was coming,” Gallagher said Thursday after learning he was likely leaving the Padres organization.
“Those were the final nails in the coffin. I saw it coming. It became a numbers game. I was the odd man out.”
