The couple who owned the charred San Diego County home where two bodies were found after a man called 911 saying he had just killed his wife and planned to torch the home and commit suicide had recently filed for bankruptcy.
Forensics doctors at the San Diego Medical Examiner’s office were conducting an autopsy Monday on the 60-year-old man and 70-year-old woman found inside the burned-down home. The names of the two have not been released, but they are believed to be Michael Cour and Janice Gervais, who owned the home.
Investigators say a man called 911 on Saturday afternoon and said he had just killed his wife and planned to set fire to his home and commit suicide. He threatened to shoot anyone who attempted to put out the blaze.
