San Diego police say a parolee who was wanted for questioning in a burglary has died after being shot by two state parole agents in a hotel parking lot.
The San Diego Union-Tribune reports the shooting happened shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Capt. Jim Collins says the agents and police went to the hotel after learning the 42-year-old man was there.
He says the uniformed agents waited outside and when the man came out with a woman, the agents identified themselves and told him to stop and put up his hands.
